Buildings by Hand: The Design Process through Drawing

I’m very pleased that my drawings have been selected for exhibit in The International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism’s (INTBAU) exhibition on modern traditional architecture and the artistic skills involved in creating beautiful and harmonious buildings and places. 28 January – 15 February 2013 at the Prince’s Foundation in London. I really enjoy your work. Chadsworth Cottage is beautiful. I have seen it listed at 4800 square feet, but I have only seen plans for 2 floors. How many square feet are on each floor? Thanks very much for your help.

Thanks so much! It was a real pleasure and honor to do Chadsworth Cottage. The house footprint is approximately 45′ x 45′ at the main block which is two floors with some additional square footage at the ground level for the entrance, and flex space in the upper attic level. Thanks for asking!

    Hi Jeffie,
Thanks for taking the time to drop by and thanks for the compliments. I have found to be a every easy blogging platform and indeed it stands in a bit for a website, which I have, but I don’t really update it except for major things. For, it’s pretty easy. I spent a few hours picking out a template and customizing it with different tabs. It took a while to transfer over my old blog content, but there was no getting around that.

As far as needed to know html, you really don’t need to. The nice thing I have found about is you can post text, pictures, add links, etc., without having to get into the html. But, if you want to see your post in html and tweak it, you can.

How much time does it take? Well, I don’t blog every day, but aside from writing content, which is what really takes the time, adding and formatting the content here take an hour or so each time I post, sometimes less.

    I hope that helps some!

    Best wishes,

Hey there great website! Does running a blog such as this take a large amount of work? I’ve virtually no understanding of coding but I was hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyway, should you have any suggestions or tips for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject but I simply had to ask. Cheers!
